OSCAR PARTY:
HUMC’s Annual Oscar Party will be March 7th at 4:00 p.m. and will last until the final curtain.
Everyone is invited to walk our Red Carpet, view the show on our giant screen and enjoy our “Governor’s Ball”.
The Kodak will have nothing on us! Bring your camera and dress in your Oscar best
or as a character from this year’s nominations.
Prizes will be given based on Oscar choices, best costumes, and best Pot Luck dish.
Our delicious dinner will feature flavors from, and of, the top ten movie contenders.
You can enjoy it all by bringing a dish to serve twelve, or $5.00 if you are culinarily challenged.

There will be many street closures due to the Oscars on Sunday, March 7th,
please check Navigate Hollywood to plan your route to church that day.

ATONEMENT CLASS:
Following worship on March 14th, Rev. Kathy and Rev. Dave will lead a discussion
on the role of Atonement in Christian theology. Come hear this old story
discussed and taught in a new way. The class will be in Grant Hall
immediately following the service.

MIGHTY LOVE SERVICE AND PASTA DINNER:
Because of street closures related to the LA Marathon on March 21st,
we will be offering a Saturday night "Mighty Love" service on March 20th at 7pm, preceded by a pasta dinner at 5:30pm, for those of you who may find it difficult to get to church on the day of the marathon.

L.A. MARATHON VOLUNTEERS:
HUMC, along with Gay4Good, is looking for 200 volunteers to help with specific tasks,
parking, and other event details from 6am to noon on the day of the LA Marathon, March 21st.
Our volunteers will be stationed at mile 11 (Hollywood Blvd, between Highland and Orange),
must be 18 years old, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and register by March 12th.
